Motorization goes wrong in four places, and none of them is the motor itself. This is what your consultant is working out while they measure.

Battery or hardwired
Rechargeable battery tubes run for months on a charge and need no electrician, which is what makes retrofitting a finished home practical. Hardwired power is the better answer in new construction and on large shades that cycle every day.

One system, not five remotes
Shades, drapery track and outdoor screens should answer to the same hub and the same app. Mixing control systems across a house is how people end up with a drawer of remotes and no schedule at all.

Scheduled to the sun, not the clock
Sunrise and sunset move by more than an hour across the year. A schedule tied to those times keeps doing the right thing in January without anyone editing it.

Weight decides the motor
Width, drop, fabric weight and tube size set which motor is specified. Undersize it and the shade is slow, noisy and short-lived, which is the failure you actually see in a cheap motorized install.
